Let’s talk about emotions! Emotions describe how you’re feeling. More formally, an emotion is a biological state brought about by changes in the brain due to situations, thoughts, or other stimuli. English has a rich vocabulary to describe emotions, and it’s important to master these words. It doesn’t convey a good impression of your English skills if you always just say that you’re feeling “good” or “bad.” We can break emotions down into happiness, sadness, fear, disgust, anger, and surprise. But it gets a lot more specific than that.
