I would LOVE to speak Spanish well enough to translate it. When I watch Spanish movies or shows, I get annoyed because I say to myself, "They didn't translate that right. They said this but it was translated as that. They interpreted but didn't translate. BIG DIFFERENCE! In a court of law, a testimony can be and has been thrown out after finding out that the translator didn't translate properly and just interpreted. A lot of the meaning can be lost. Very impressive what you are doing. I'm sure that the more you do it, the more comfortable you will become and the easier it will become for you.

¿Debes amar a Jesus y al cristianismo, no? ¿Conoces bien la biblia, también? Yo no podría trabajar en la iglesia. Soy un americano que ha aprendido español. He pensado en cómo conseguir un trabajo como traductor, sin embargo, no hay muchos latinos en este estado. Me gusta tu canal. Espero que te guste tu trabajo como traductor. ¡Hasta luego!

YES! Being a translator/interpreter is my dream (in addition to being a Spanish college professor). he leído lo que dijiste que es mejor traducir en el idioma nativo y entiendo eso pero si se sabe el idioma, se puede hacerlo. claro que si puedes hacer esto … has enseñado a nosotros mucho entonces tienes una habilidad muy fuerte .. buena suerte (:

I’m so excited for you. I was in a program called SETI (Spanish English Translation & Interpretation) and I learned so much about this skill. It’s way more than just knowing both languages but you are giving me hope. My professor is a Spanish court interpreter and watching her simultaneously interpret was always so amazing. I’d be so interested in videos about your experiences with interpreting and just tips. You already have great and valuable content. Thanks so much and take care.

  16. Rhonda Friscia says:

¡Felicitaciones, Ricky! Pensé el mismo. Es más difícil traducir a su idioma nativo. You totally killed it, man. Way to go. Thanks for making great videos and answering so many of the questions that are on my mind.

  17. Amanda Jayne Hill says:

I recently started doing this with songs on the radio. Drives my fam nuts but sometimes it brings up vocab questions. At times i like my own Spanish translation better than the original English song. I have seen on mission trip to the DR a translator ministry at the church in Santiago. At the time my spanish was basic beginner at best. Now 2.5 years down the road, I'd love to revisit & hear the awesomeness of Gods word multiplied in the form of two languages. Your video here is a blessing too. Thanks for sharing. Dios te bendiga 🙏🏽🇩🇴🇺🇸🇨🇴

  18. SCREAM THEGUY says:

This is the hard part of interpreting/ translating – You may be able to translate words easily, but not so much with meaning.

  19. Arnaldi Figueroa says:

Hey there fellow Florida native here. Also learning Spanish and majoring in it in college. You should do a subscriber meet up where we all speak Spanish together and “level up” our Spanish skills. Obviously you are fluent but it would be cool to meet up and get some advice from you and practice with other people that are learning.

  20. Ike Peters says:

Yo asistía a esa iglesia cuando vivía en Coral Springs hermano! Small world.
