Kitchen Vocabulary -🇬🇧 ❤️ 🍚 Learn English vocabulary for items in the kitchen. Learn lots of new words and how to pronounce them!

Hi and welcome to the kitchen.
In today’s lesson we will start out by learning the vocabulary of the kitchen and then you can practise repeating the pronunciation of the words and keep watching until the end as there is a quiz to see how much you have learned.

So, let’s get started.

The most important item in the kitchen is the oven or cooker. We put food in the cooker to make it hot.
The microwave again heats food but very fast.
The hob is where we heat food in a saucepan or a frying pan.
The kettle boils water to make a cup of tea
The toaster
The washing machine washes clothes.
The dishwasher washes dishes.
The fridge keeps food cold.
The freezer freezes food.
Knife
The plural is Knives the f changes to v and remember the silent k .
Fork
Spoon
The collective noun for knives and forks and spoons is Cutlery
Plate
Bowl
Mugs
The collective noun for cups and bowls and plates is Crockery
The sink
