? 04 How My iPod is Made
Do you own an Apple iPod? They are great for listening to music with. They can be a bit expensive, but do you know why? It is because it takes a lot of resources from around the world to make an iPod. Let’s see how your iPod was made from the beginning to the end.

Firstly, developers, engineers, and designers in the USA worked on the iPod. The developers thought up the idea of the iPod. They know if it is popular, it will make lots of money. Then engineers designed the electronics to make the iPod work and do many things. And designers designed the iPod to look really attractive and be easy to use. All people who work on making something are called human resources.

Capital resources like factories, machines, and robots were then designed and made. They are needed to make the components of the iPod. Components for the iPod are ma in factories in countries such as Korea and Japan. They are things like computer chips, the screen, and batteries, and they all use natural resources. The iPod’s battery is made from lithium, which mostly comes from South America. Lithium is a natural resource just like water and trees.

The components were then assembled in China to make the iPod. Robots, machines, and people work on an assembly line putting it together. Once the iPod is fully ma and put in a box, it is sent to shops all around the world.

By the time you get your iPod, thousands of people, machines, and robots from around the world have contributed to making your iPod! Amazing, isn’t it!
